American Abroad Media (AAM) invites TV journalists from the Muslim world to apply for the Foreign Journalism Fellowship, a three-week workshop in the United States during which participants will produce TV programming hosting prominent American decision-makers and cultural icons.
Accepted applicants will have the chance to spend three weeks in Washington D.C. with possible travel to other cities in the States, and report on issues of interest to their audiences at home. AAM will help with arranging interviews and sources and will contribute to the co-production of programs. The topics will be decided by AAM and the partner TV station. AAM will pay for the shows’ production, travel expenses and housing while in the United States.
Applicants must be achieved TV reporters and speak English fluently, or be able to conduct interviews in English. They should also be able to publish their pieces at their home TV stations.
